When Nicole Kidman, 50, needed help deciding whether or not to reprise her role from the London play Photograph 51 for a New York version, she put the decision to a vote in a family meeting with her husband, Keith Urban, 50, and daughters Sunday Rose, 9, and Faith Margaret, 6.
"Both my kids said 'no' and my husband said 'I hope not,'" Kidman told the Today Show, according to the Daily Mail. "I would have loved to have done that on Broadway, but I love my kids and my husband far more."
It's that kind of prioritizing that has kept the Australian couple's 11-year marriage strong in the face of public scrutiny and the personal baggage each brought to the relationship—namely Kidman's regrets from her first marriage to Tom Cruise at a young age and Urban's past struggles with alcoholism and cocaine abuse.
