Several Montana teens were recently featured on the national Megyn Kelly Today show to talk about suicide prevention efforts in the state.

As part of a series called Stressed Out Teens, Kelly’s crew interviewed teens from Great Falls and Helena and brought two of them, including Kaytlin Newlun of Helena, to film in New York. On the show, Newlun talked about her own mental health problems and why she thinks Montana has a particularly high rate of suicide.

The rate of suicide has increased by 28 percent in the United States since 2000, although the rates are variable by region and state.
