A new study has found a link between alcohol use and kids who go through puberty early.

It appears that kids who go through puberty earlier are more likely to try alcohol at a younger age. Drinking alcohol at an early age is dangerous for maturing brains and has links to alcohol dependency later on in life. This evidence that underage alcohol use and early puberty are linked comes from the sociology department at The Pennsylvania State University.
